[Jace is standing in the kitchen. On the counter is nothing but bread. He seems to be glaring at it as if it's done something horribly wrong to him.]

Lu. Tell me you can find something that won't turn to bread when I touch it.

[She walks into the kitchen, sees that miserable face and makes a pout at him. She opens the fridge, giving it a look over.]

Let's try a piece of cheesecake and see if it works. If it does, I'll make a whole meal.

[She gets out the cheesecake, puts a slice on a plate then gets a fork. She sets it on the island, cuts a bite off and holds it out to Jace.]

Eggs, ham, cheese grits and biscuits and gravy. I'll start the biscuits now.

[She gets a bowl plus all the ingredients out to make them from scratch.]

So what have you been doing with your bread day? [And he could probably manufacture biscuits on his own since they are bread but having them made from scratch and put with gravy makes all the difference.]
